Today's energy efficient air conditioners
use as much as 40% less electricity than older models. This reduced
consumption results in major savings, with the same
or greater levels of comfort.
You are eligible to receive rebates on HVAC equipment if:
- You own your own home.
- Your existing air conditioning unit is
10 years old or older.
If you meet these eligibility requirements, contact us today and ask for an information packet.
We offer rebates to customers who install high efficiency HVAC equipment. We do not require you have an energy audit to qualify.

You are not eligible to receive a rebate if you are replacing HVAC equipment or other qualified measures listed if they are less than 10 years old.
It is City of Austin Code that all HVAC equipment be sized according to an approved ACCA manual J methodology.*
* Participating Companies will be held responsible and liable for the HVAC system sizing installed through Austin Energy’s Residential Energy Efficiency Programs.

Funding is limited and is available only to Austin Energy customers on a first-come, first-served
basis. The offering is subject to change without notice.
