AEGB's new Participant logo is designed to let clients, potential clients and professional peers know that you are rating projects with AEGB. We created this new logo to help promote your commitment to green building and strengthen the value of your AEGB-rated projects.
The Participant logo is available only to companies who are actively rating projects using AEGB's rating tool. With an AEGB rating, you can show potential clients the concrete, documented green strategies implemented in your projects. With so many people jumping on the "green" bandwagon, earning an AEGB rating distinguishes you from greenwashing competitors.
We've also created Guidelines and a Licensing Agreement that outline how the logo may - and may not - be used. In order to preserve the integrity of companies who are truly committed
to green building, the Participant logo has time-limited eligibility criteria. After the eligibility requirements are met, and the logo licensing agreement is signed, the logo may be used by all the team members listed on the rating for two years. Continuing to rate projects means companies can continue to use the logo, which demonstrates a consistent commitment to green building over time. This leads to a sustainable green reputation over the long-term.
Eligibility for Single-Family, Multifamily and Commercial Projects

Single-Family projects may use the logo when the home rating is finalized or, in the case of production builders, when the first home rating is finalized. |

Commercial projects may use the logo after project registration, the initial meeting and project review. Logo use may continue during construction as long as the project stays on track to receive a rating. |

Multifamily projects may use the logo after the conditional approval is awarded by AEGB. Logo use may continue during construction as long as the project stays on track to receive a rating. |
Companies are currently eligible to use the Participant logo if they:

Have rated a Single-Family, Commercial or Multifamily project in the past two years, or |
|
Are currently working toward a Commercial or Multifamily rating |
We have sent emails to each company currently eligible to use the logo. If you have not received an email inviting you to use the Participant logo, and you believe you meet the eligibility requirements, please contact us at greenbuilding@austinenergy.com. Please include your company name, the name of the company or person who submitted the rating (if different), the name and address of the rated project, and the year of the rating. If you are working on rating a Commercial or Multifamily project currently in construction, contact your AEGB rep directly for Participant logo information.
