Deferred Payment Agreements
A deferred payment agreement allows
you the opportunity to bring your account balance current
and keep your utility account in good standing.
Your past due amount is spread out over
a period of time. You pay a portion of the past due amount
in addition to your ongoing monthly utility charges. This
allows you the extra time you need to become current on your
account.
Six Month Payment Plans Available
City of Austin utility customers that are delinquent on summer utility bills may bring their accounts back into good standing using a one-time, six-month, payment plan. Utility payment plans are generally available for up to a four-month period. Customers can sign up for a 6-month payment plan beginning August 1 through September 28.
The offer will be available to any customer — regardless of their payment history (customers involved in meter tampering are not eligible). Customers can use the six-month payment option by paying one-third of their delinquent total and paying the rest over six months along with their monthly utility bill.
