to 40% or more. Energy efficiency improvements can cut that
increase by half.
Rebates or Loans Can Help
Our Home
Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program offers
rebates of up to 20% of the cost of energy efficiency improvements
or 0% interest loans.
Homes aged 10 years or more can greatly
reduce heating costs this winter by making the following four
improvements:
- A total of 10-12 inches of attic insulation
is recommended.
- Repair air ducts, which typically leak
one-third or more of heating into the attic.
- Apply weather stripping
around doors.
- Replace old, inefficient heating and
central air conditioning equipment.
Residential Texas Gas Service customers may qualify for additional rebates. Please ask your contractor for details.
