Power Saver™ Program
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR^®—Rebate Participation

1. Austin Energy electric customers may choose an Austin Energy Participating Company to perform a home energy audit. Most companies participating in our program offer this service free of charge. The audit takes approximately 30 minutes.
2. Participating Companies provide recommendations and cost estimates for home energy improvements, plus expected rebates (You must qualify for
   $100 in minimum rebates to participate in this program). Feel free to request bids from more than one company. Austin Energy pays rebates only for work performed by a Participating Company.
3. The participating company arranges for Austin Energy to review its energy audit and bid estimates, and gets approval on the proposed work.
4. You have the work completed.
5. The Participating Company arranges for a final inspection by Austin Energy. Once Austin Energy inspects the completed work, you sign the final inspection report and pay for services*.
   *Pay for services when you are satisfied with the work and it passes our inspection. If the company requests partial payment before the Austin Energy inspection, make sure sufficient work has been completed. We require Participating Companies to provide a minimum 1-year warranty on all materials, parts and workmanship.
6. Receive your rebate check by mail from Austin Energy in 2-4 weeks.
7. Mobile homes or manufactured homes are eligible for rebates on new air conditioners only. Other energy efficiency improvements cannot be rebated for these dwellings due to construction code differences.

Resolving Post-Inspection Problems
The product manufacturer or vendor’s warranty may cover problems that arise after final inspection. It is your responsibility to pursue your rights with the appropriate party.

If you cannot reach an agreement, provide the vendor written notice of the problem, the solution you request, and a reasonable deadline to remedy the problem. If a solution still cannot be reached, contact an Austin Energy Customer Service Representative at (512) 974-7827.

Programs are offered to Austin Energy’s electric customers on a first-come, first-served basis. Programs are subject to change without notice.

Program Funding
Funding is limited. Customers cannot apply funds from more than one program to one type/set/instance of energy improvements. We provide offerings to Austin Energy customers on a first-come, first-served basis. Offerings are subject to change without notice.
