Small Business Lighting Discount Program Participation

1. Complete the Participation Request Form(pdf).
2. Mail or fax (1-512-869-2596) the form to Energy Saving Strategies. You will be contacted within 3 to 5 days to schedule a convenient time to do a lighting audit. You will receive a free, no-obligation, written proposal. How much of the recommended work you want to complete is up to you. View a sample proposal (pdf) that outlines total project cost, your portion of the cost, Austin Energy's portion, and the estimated payback period.
3. If you accept the proposal, schedule the equipment installation with Energy Saving Strategies.
4. After the work is completed, Energy Saving Strategies will invoice you for the discounted portion of the installation cost.
5. Austin Energy will contact you to set up a final inspection on the new installation. This ensures that the project was performed according to the proposal and identifies if you could benefit from any other commercial incentive program.

Average program discount is approximately 70% of the project cost. Discounts can range as high as 84% of the project cost.
