New Construction Renovation Rebates

Facilities can receive Austin Energy rebates if they install high efficiency equipment or implement demand-reducing strategies that exceed our standard Code Requirements. If no Code minimum, rebate will be based on the demand reduction achieved by the specific upgrade.

"" Water source heat pumps

"" Air-cooled and packaged
"" Air-cooled with remote condensers
"" Water-cooled
   
Electric Motor Upgrades
"" High efficiency electric motors
"" Variable frequency drive motor controlled
   
Heat Recovery Options
"" Air-to-air heat exchangers
"" Enthalpy wheels
"" Run around coils
"" Heat pipes

Austin Energy is willing to investigate other technologies not listed above, or any strategy that reduces summer on-peak demand.

Program Participation

  1. Complete the Participation Request Form.
  2. Meet with your account representative to review construction plans, receive energy efficiency recommendations, determine rate eligibility and rebate estimate.
  3. Submit applications and construction plans to Austin Energy. We review your materials and schedule a final inspection.
  4. Receive your rebate check.
