Requirements

In order to install a new AC unit through Loan Option
1, you must make all weatherization improvements
recommended in the energy analysis, except for installation
of radiant barrier. |
 |
Loan Option 2 requires you to seal or replace your existing
duct system and install a new AC. Additional measures,
such as installing attic insulation, solar screens or
radiant barrier, can be added to this loan option. |
 |
If AC unit is not replaced, a loan will cover any or
all of the recommended weatherization measures. Personal
Loans require a minimum loan amount of $500. Energy Improvement
loans require a minimum loan of $1,500. |
 |
New AC units or heat pumps must be sized to either service a minimum of 600 sq.ft. per ton or have the participating company perform a load calculation to determine the size of the AC unit. The AC unit must meet the minimum SEER requirements. Both the AC condensing unit and evaporator coil must be replaced. |
 |
All work must be performed by a Participating
Company. |
