 Austin's Green Map
 Austin Earth Day 2008

Austin's Green Map
Austin Energy Green Building has been rating projects since the early 1990's.
The program has rated more than 7,000 single family homes, 60 commercial buildings comprising more than 3 million square feet of space, and 57 multi-family projects containing 8,381 units. For the first time, our rated projects are together on an easy-to-use online map.

Austin's Green Map shows locations of Green Building or LEED-rated commercial, mixed-use and multi-family developments all over Austin. The map is divided into five geographical areas so you can look for rated sites near your home or business. More sites, including large solar installations and Austin Energy's newest District Cooling locations, are being added to the map.

Austin Earth Day 2008
Celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Republic Park. Austin Green Art is spearheading the free, community-wide event with green art, local food, music, and an expo featuring green businesses and products. Beginning April 7, the Green Scene Scavenger Hunt will be happening again, directing players to sites all over town. The big story of this Earth Day is the launch of the Neighborhood 500.0 project that asks 500 Austinites to register and participate in a group sustainability game/action/revolution.
