Meter Reading Contract

There are over 500,000 electric and water meters in the Austin Energy service area. IMServ FieldTech reads each meter on a monthly basis.

The readings from these meters can help you understand your energy and water usage. We calculate your bill based on this monthly meter reading.

IMServ FieldTech Reads Austin Energy Meters
IMServ FieldTech began reading City of Austin meters in July of 2001. We require that they read 99.4% of all meters, without exception. They will work with you to resolve problems related to gaining access to your meter.

Identifying a Meter Reader
Austin Energy IMServ FieldTech meter reader are easy to identify. They wear uniforms, identification badges and drive marked vehicles.
