Primary Standby Capacity
Application:
This rate is applicable to any customer
who has on-site power-production facilities, receives power
at the primary voltage level 12,500 volts (nominal), has dedicated
service directly from a City of Austin substation, and executes
a separate contract with the City of Austin for standby electric
service.
Character of Service:
The Character of Service provided under
this rate shall be alternating current, 60 cycles, single
phase or three phase, in accordance with the Utilities Criteria
Manual prescribed by the City of Austin which may be amended
from time to time.
The contract with the State of Texas, dated August 22, 1995,
as amended effective October 1, 2002, is incorporated by reference
into this tariff.

Standby Capacity:
The Standby Capacity will be equivalent
to the maximum demand of the load to be served by the City
of Austin during a scheduled or unscheduled outage of the
customer's power production facilities or as stipulated in
the contract between the City of Austin and the customer.
Minimum Bill:
Customer will be assessed a monthly
Minimum Bill equal to the Standby Capacity Rate times the
Standby Capacity.
