Austin Energy, in partnership, with the University of Texas College of Electrical & Computer Engineering invites you to attend an excellent one day workshop update April 18, 2007 on the advent of the intelligent electric grid.
Speakers will provide updates on technology advances that promise electric utilities and their customers substantial advances in power reliability and enhanced services.
PUC Chairman Paul Hudson will discuss his vision of the future for electric utilities, Gene Wolf (T&D Magazine) on where technology stands today and Mladen Kezunovic (Texas A&M) on integrating technology with the power system. Texas Utilities will present information on their deployment of Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) and CenterPoint Energy on their distribution automation strategy, and more.
The Workshop also offers an excellent opportunity for licensed engineers to earn (for $65) up to 7 Personal Development Hours (PDH) of the 15 needed for Texas PE license renewal.
