Austin Energy’s Plug-In EVerywhere™ Network will allow Plug-in EV drivers to charge while you work, shop, dine, or take care of business. Austin Energy is
pleased to announce more than 100 Level 2 stations throughout the region.

Plug-In EVerywhere™ members enjoy unlimited charging at all Plug-In
EVerywhere™ stations for just $25, or less than $5/month. The
Plug-In EVerywhere™ stations are all powered by GreenChoice®
renewable energy. You can sign up here.

Host a Charging Station
Austin Energy is working with its customers to connect privately-owned charging stations to the Plug-in EVerywhere ™ Program throughout the Austin Energy service territory.  Austin Energy will provide billing and maintenance services related to the sale of electricity at the charging station.  You may be eligible for an Austin Energy Green Building point if you provide charging to tenants at a multi-family building. Hosting a station provides an amenity to your employees, tenants, and customers.

Public Charging and the Law
Because of the potential impact electric vehicle charging can have on the safety
and reliability of our electric system, it is very important that Austin Energy be informed of all charging stations connected to our grid.

Please be aware that state and local laws regulate the furnishing of electricity
for compensation, and this affects electric vehicle charging stations. The Texas Public Utility Regulatory Act prohibits entities from providing retail electric service within the certificated service area of a municipally owned utility.
