The Culture and Diversity Council
(CDC) is an employee group that promotes the value of diversity.
The CDC provides opportunities for all employees to learn
and develop an awareness of the impact of Diversity in both
their personal and professional lives. Through communication,
employee involvement and educational events, the CDC encourages/facilitates
organizational culture change.
Austin Energy's Diversity Effort brings
attention to the attitudes we have towards others who are
different from us. It provides opportunities for our employees
to begin recognizing those differences and learning to get
beyond cultural barriers. Austin Energy is committed to creating
an environment which supports and encourages diversity in
the workplace.
